My JVC HR-S3902U Super VHS ET VCR is emitting a high-pitch buzzing noise, specifically when playing back blank tapes & pre-recorded tapes. Movies do not have this problem. I fooled around with the audio settings the best I could, but it did not help. I tried switching the "Audio Monitor" settings from Hi-Fi to Normal or Mix (or vice-versa) and that only stopped the buzzing on 2 of the 10 tapes I tested.
FYI: I tested the VCR through an AV -> HDMI adapter and just AV cables straight into my TV, both methods emitted the buzz. I am also certain that the VCR is the cause (and not my TV) because the buzz was still present when I ran the signal through elgato video capture device into my PC (what I usually use to digitize tapes).
Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
