    I have an srt file in Spanish for a movie. When I try to translate to English using Subtitle Edit I get mixed English subtitles and also the original subtitles in Spanish.
    When I select the text from NotePad and use Google Translation, I get all the lines in English.
    Can someone look at the attached sample and see what can be wrong with the Spanish srt file?
    I tried to delete the special Spanish characters but this doesn't help.

    From Google Translation

    105
    00:08:35,210 --> 00:08:36,040
    'Later'

    106
    00:08:38,590 --> 00:08:39,920
    What's wrong with my shirt?

    107
    00:08:49,140 --> 00:08:50,420
    Thank you, Mr. X.

    109
    00:08:53,100 --> 00:08:54,760
    Will you marry me?

    110
    00:08:57,150 --> 00:08:59,100
    You don't have to decide now...

    111
    00:08:59,520 --> 00:09:02,020
    But think about it

    112
    00:09:02,400 --> 00:09:03,520
    Sleep on it, cutie!...

    113
    00:09:03,900 --> 00:09:05,610
    I swear, Amy

    114
    00:09:06,660 --> 00:09:08,450
    You can be so stupid sometimes

    115
    00:09:10,290 --> 00:09:11,570
    No I know...

    116
    00:09:12,370 --> 00:09:13,650
    He seemed like a cool guy

    117
    00:09:14,750 --> 00:09:16,210
    A little weird maybe...

    118
    00:09:16,420 --> 00:09:18,370
    He was a bit of a jerk

    119
    00:09:19,960 --> 00:09:22,200
    The other day you and I talked,

    120
    00:09:22,670 --> 00:09:24,830
    about how we wouldn't make judgments
    hastily?...

    122
    00:09:29,600 --> 00:09:31,170
    I'm starving.

    123
    00:09:32,020 --> 00:09:34,300
    Stop by the next QuickieMart, okay?

    124
    00:09:46,360 --> 00:09:47,530
    Are you sure you don't want anything?
