  1. i've used makemkv to rip files on one laptop (lg gram) with no issues. i put the software on another laptop (lenovo thinkpad) and the ripped file has no sound. for some reason, if i run the ripped file through video.net, it shows as having an audio track, but there is no sound on the resulting file.
    anybody?
    thanks up front.

    forgot to mention (if applicable) that both machines have windows 10.

    Probably original computer has codec supporting sound stream's format, while 2nd computer doesn't. Easy to see what the format is: check file in MediaInfo.
    To see about codecs, you will have to see what you've installed, and know which architecture the app used is relying upon (e.g. DirectShow, MediaFoundation, ffmpeg...)
