  1. @ProWo

    Test results:

After testing audio conversation with new clever ffmpeg gui versions, the test with older v2.8.6 gives no problems at all.

    v2.9.1/v2.9.1.15 Beta 32 Bit (sample.mp2/sample2.ac3 - 2 Channels)
converted to: aac, ac3, eac3, DTS, flac, mp2, mp3, opus, vorbis, trueHD = works as expected
converted to wav(pcm) = failed, 20 bytes in one line written: "RIFF˙˙˙˙WAVEfmt ˙˙˙˙"

With v2.9.1.15 Beta only: if trying convert to wav, sometimes this happens (not every try):

  2. Works flawless here.
    Try this:
Close clever FFmpeg-GUI and delete this folder:
C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Local\clever_FFmpeg_GUI (where xxx stands for your username on windows).
    Then restart clever FFmpeg-GUI.
    Maybe helps.

No luck, same result. Interesting: convert wav(pcm) in a mka container works. Will later test, if it's possible to use .mka with various other audio/video software.
    Quote Quote
  4. I would recommend to try the whole thing on another computer. I think that something is wrong with your Windows system. Do you have additional codec packs or filters installed that affect pcm/wav?
    Quote Quote
  5. Sorry, in the moment i can't use another computer. I don't think, that something is wrong on my system, because there are no problems with other software and .net applications. Net 5 & 6 works fine too. On the other hand v2.8.6 works correct. Maybe the MS net 4.8 update found last year is going wrong, but the installer say, that all is fine, no repair needed. No other codec packs are installed, but portable software use portable codec dll/exe, if needed in their own directory without registry. Thanks for your help and time.

Tested yesterday on a Windows 10 32bit system v2.9.1, converted various audio streams to pcm(wav), perfectly fine.
    I rewrote some code anyway.
Please test the latest beta version 2.9.1.20 and post here the result.

Thank you for your effort. Maybe my computer is a little bit crazy. I apologize for the results. I am at a loss. If everything works in win10, maybe I should stop looking for errors in win7...

Application used: clever ffmpeg-GUI 2.9.1.20 Beta / MediaInfo 21.9 for result checking

Used ffmpeg 32 bit versions: 4.3.1/n4.4.1 (Gives same results - no differences, except writing library)

    ffmpeg sources:

    32 Bit 4.3.1: https://www.videohelp.com/software/ffmpeg
    32 Bit n4.4.1: https://github.com/marierose147/ffmpeg_windows_exe_with_fdk_aac

ac3 source converted to pcm(wav) 16 Bit file: failed
ac3 source converted to pcm(wav) 24 Bit file: perfect
ac3 source converted to pcm(wav) 36 Bit file: failed
ac3 source converted to pcm(wav) 16 Bit / mka container: wrong audio format
ac3 source converted to pcm(wav) 24 Bit / mka container: perfect
ac3 source converted to pcm(wav) 36 Bit / mka container: failed

ac3 source converted to pcm(wav)/mka 16 bit container Result:

Everything ok with your computer. Finally found this little devilish bug. Now everything should work again as expected.
Download the latest beta (2.9.1.23) again and test it.

Now I can confirm that all audio codecs work fine with clever ffmpeg-gui 2.9.1.24 beta, especially pcm 16/24/32 bit.
Sometimes the devil is in the details...

For this MediaInfo hangs on a pcm/32 bit file. But this is fortunately another construction site.
I am glad that neither I nor my PC is crazy. I am curious what the future brings for clever ffmpeg-gui.

Thanks for the effort and finding an obvious error that was not so easily reproducible.

I forgot to mention that until now you could convert all audio codecs in one container. With clever ffmpeg-gui 2.9.1.24 beta
the container selection disappears for the truHD codec. I hope that this behavior is intended by you.

How do you convert one video container to another in this program? I am trying to convert something to transport stream container.

  15. ProWo could you post the ffmpeg commands used to speed up/down audio streams and commands used to correct audio pitch? I'd like to test them directly in the command line

    Google is your friend.
    Read this
    https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/How%20to%20speed%20up%20/%20slow%20down%20a%20video#Speed...owingdownaudio
For the pitch you have to investigate yourself.
Some little secrets I keep, it is after all months that I work on this project.

Anyway if I need to speed up/down an audio track with your tool, and also not introduce problems in pitch or audio distortions: do I need "Length only" or "Length & pitch" (if it is enough) ? What do these functions exactly do to the audio track?

I used the feature mainly for conversions from 23.976 fps to 25 fps or vice versa. Here you should use length & pitch. If you have the complete audio track, the pitch conversion is not really necessary, because it is hardly audible. But if you want to merge audio tracks from different sources (e.g. you have an audio track of a TV recording of a movie without final cerdits with 25pfs and you want to merge the final credits of the same movie from a DVD with 23.976 fps), then you have to use lenght and pitch, because you will notice the difference immediately.

  19. [REQ] Intel oneAPI Video Processing Library support

We noticed that from 1.5.0 release, Handbrake uses "Updated Intel Quick Sync to use the Intel oneAPI Video Processing Library (oneVPL)".

...do you think could be useful to support it in clever ?

    https://github.com/oneapi-src/oneVPL
    https://github.com/oneapi-src/oneVPL-intel-gpu

    Hope that helps/inspires.

No, because many ffmpeg video filter i'm using in clever Ffmpeg-GUI are incompatible with hardware acceleration and i prefer quality to encoding speed.

  21. March 08, 2022 update to version 2.9.4.

Added: Check for multiple video streams in multiplex section.
    Improved: Little improvement on IVTC.

  22. @ Martin Steve (review):
-av1 encode settings have no effect [CRF30 or CRF22]
Not true, have tested it; smaller CRF values give higher bitrate and larger files, as expected.

  23. I've downloaded clever FFmpeg-GUI and tested some demux and mux jobs on mp4. It's good and fast to extract and mux video and audio streams.

I want to set audio delay when multiplexing a mp4 video stream with an aac audio file. The aac audio file is a bit faster and want to set 100ms delay when multiplex with the video.
But I can't find delay option in MultiPlex.

May I know how to do this?
    Quote Quote
  24. In the Audio stream row at right you find the the delay column.
insert your value in milliseconds here.
Use the newest beta (2.9.4.02), because I've recoded the delay function.
    Quote Quote
  25. Hi ProWo,

The delay functions works. But it seems hard to see the Delay column of Audio stream is editable, as I need to double-click on it to see the cursor.
May I know if the audio of the multiplexed video is re-encoded after adding delay of +100 ms, i.e., if I extract the audio of the multiplexed video, is it that the audio file contains the 100ms delay?
    Quote Quote
  26. No reencode is done, only remux.
The stream itsself doesn't contain any delay info.
The delay is inserted into the container at remux.
    Quote Quote
  27. Cannot check this delay using Mediainfo. Which tool can check this delay information?
    Quote Quote
  28. Mediainfo from the muxed video (mp4, mkv) with Video and Audiostream shows existing delays.

  29. March 21, 2022 update to version 2.9.5.
Fixed: Muxing hevc into avi, no offset on avs encoding.
Added: Endian choice on pcm encoding.
Improved: Audio delay analisys, muxing grid.
Changed: Compiled for any CPU. Works on x86, x84, ARM.

LoudNorm oder via Volume db? or DynAudNorm? The Audio Source is always from Blu-Ray or Web-DL.
