Hi guys, I am sorry if you have all answered this problem before, but i was lookiing for a quick fix right now
I am using smartripper to rip dvd and have been for a while, it was using taking like 10 - 15 mins on my machine, but now is taking 40 mins + and i am not sure why
I have noted that the dvd speed is 1.5 and in the classical guide help files it is shown at 4.5 x I am sure this is what mine use to do
Is there a setting for this?
Thanks again guys

It happend to me too, though not as big as from 4.5x to 1.5x.
I noticed that there is a little improvement if you close all running softwares and everything that can take away CPU time from Smartripper (I even disconnect the newtork connection), and you leave Smartripper running doing anything else on the PC.
Hope it will work!
Ciao

my old compaq dvd drive would rip at about 5x, but my pioneer 104 only rips at 2.1x. it sometimes rips at about 5x, but only for certain movies i don't know why. but it is probably something to do with the type of encryption the dvd uses.
