  1. I can get the VCD to work, but the SVCD will record to my HD by when I but it in the Nero 5.5 for SVCD, it tells me that it is in the wrong format.

    I did do the Multiplexing in TMPGEnc

    You need to record it as MPEG-2, 480 x 480 first, in program stream. Then mux it as SVCD in TMPGenc. Do your cuts BEFORE you mux it. Works great that way.

  6. In TMPGenc go to:

    Files, MPEG-tools, Multiplex. Select MPEG-2, Super VideoCD. Select the file you want to convert from the "ADD" menu. Change the name of the new output file by adding SVCD after your original file name, then select run. That's it.

    Mux=Multiplexing

    1: OPTION-> ENVIROMENTAL SETTINGS-> GENERAL SETTINGS-> ENABLE MULTIPLEX WITH “MUX”.

    2: OPTION-> PREVIEW OPTION-> DO NOT DISPLAY.

    3: OPTION-> TASK PRIORITY-> WHEN ACTIVE – HIGH PRIORITY.

    4: Set the “Stream Type” to System Video and audio

    5: Click on the “Browse” button and select the file you recorded with WinTV-2K

    6: The audio source will automatically load up

    7: Rename “Output file name:” to anything you would like that way you have a backup copy if something goes wrong with the video.

    8: Push the “Start” to start the conversion. Should take about 3-4 mins for a 650 meg file.

    The message won't really help us much. It's pretty much the same message for all that sort of error.

    Sounds like you did not record the file in the correct size or format to start with then. Re-Muxing will only work if the file is basically in the correct SVCD format to start with. The re-muxing just writes the correct SVCD header ect. Did you make a custom SVCD preset from the advanced tab in WinTV2000? If so, what bit rate and other parameters did you set it to?
