    Anyone know about a forthcoming replacement for the Pioneer DV-444? I tried to buy it several places (Best Buy & various places on the net), but they all say it's out of stock and has been discontinued because a new model is coming. Pioneer customer service knows nothing about this.

    I have the dv-444s, superb player. Although i now NEED multi-region...

    Hopefully someone knows a secret code or something for these which enables you to change to region code....???

    Or any other way of converting to multi-region...

    Hello, the 444 is said to be replaced by the new model 454. This 454 has the same spec as the 343-replacer 350, except for one optical digital output and a "bended" front.
