Hi,
I was wondeirng what the best TV out card is.
Basically i'm fussy with quality on my movies so i want a TV out card that has exremely good quality picture for movies.
I am currently using VGA and yes i can see text clearer but the picture seems worse than it does using TV out..I could be wrong though!
So what's the best high performance TV Out card out there to get?
Thank you.

Budget?
Minimum 7600GT (might be the best you can do with AGP)
Recommended 8600GT (PCIe only)Recommends: Kiva.org - Loans that change lives.

How woukd i know if i have PCI or AGP?
If i have only got AGP what would i need to do to upgrade to PCI?
Thanks. -
Note that it's not PCI but PCI express (PCIe). I'm pretty sure an MX-440 will be AGP. You can always open up the computer and look at the connector. I think you can go do Device Manager and look at the System Devices. Look for a device that mentions AGP. Like "Intel... AGP controller". Or check your motherboard manual if you have one.Originally Posted by SE14man
New motherboard, new CPU, new memory, probably a new power supply...Originally Posted by SE14man
What's wrong with the VGA output? If the colors don't seem right you should adjust the overlay brightness, contrast, hue, and color settings.Originally Posted by SE14man -
For current machine a key issue is power supply's ability to handle a modern display card. Figiure these cards need 200-300 Watts more than the MX-440. You may need to upgrade power supply along with dispaly card.
