    I read somewhere that non-HDTV cable boxes are coming with firewire. Is it possible to get one of these from Comcast and capture digital SDTV?

    Maybe someday. Currently my Comcast has separate DTV subchannel feeds (not multiplex) using HD cable box.

    Current SD feeds are only

    Second PBS program n.2
    ABC local weather radar n.2
    NBC local "weatherplus" n.2

    All SD locals are transcoded to cable MPeg2 channels 3xx
