i have a pinical dc10 plus capture card , and i have been capturing at 720 x 576 at 6meg / sec data rate , and im getting a few frame drops , but they usually seem to be related to timing info on the tapes being a bit "out" if i capture from a live source , i usually get few if any droped frames , but not from tape. where can i get a TBC from and roughly how much should it cost ? , and will it solve my problems ?
thanks all.

Sometimes it's just the other way around. With TBC on, I get more dropped frames than without.I'm using a copy enhancer from DATAVIDEO nnow, which amplifies the video signal and also takes care of MacroVision distortion.

i usually only get dropped frames when there is some white noise on the screen. or if there is somthing wrong with the tape. if i capture straight from my video cam (which has a tbc built in) i get 0 dropped frames every time. but i dont do much of this. mainly capture from vhs.
