  1. My setup:
    AMD 900Mhz/512MB RAM/7200 rpm HD
Dazzle HW bridge via firewire card

    OS:
    XP Home/DirectX 8.1

    Issues:
1, able to capture AVI (From VCR via hw bridge) in Ulead DVD Workshop with very few frame drops (~300/50000), but when converting to MPEG for DVD (720x480,ntsc,8000bpm) via either TMPEG, DVD Complete or DVD Workshop itself, audio gets out of sync
2, trying to capture AVI in Win Movie Maker results in choppy audio
3, VirtualDub is unable to see the firewire capture device
4, installing other video codecs didn't seem to work either (software looks installed, but doesn't show in capture software)
5, lowering bit rate to 6000 seems to help a little bit, but still not perfect

    Any comments?

  2. When you are capturing this with your capture card, you are doing it at a specific framerate. When you increase the framerate in a program like TMPGENC you are increasing the framerate of your capture causing your movie to be altered in duration, even if it is just by a little bit, it is still doing it, making your audio out of sync.
    Wow Dude, Wow.
