My agency has charged me with the task of recording four different simultaneous cable broadcasts every day. They are currently using four VCR's, but are unhappy with the results. Short of buying four DVD recorders, which I may do, does anyone have any ideas?

I wouldn't think you could capture more than one show to a computer at a time. Is there some commercial grade device with multiple tuners capable of recording more than one channel or input at a time? Pretend that money is no object. I am open to any and all suggestions.

To me, four DVD recorders appears to be the way to go for simplicity's sake, if nothing else. If you agree, can you recommend a good stout recorder capable of recording every day on RW's?

Thanks for all of your help.

Depends if you want material on DVD or on HDD.

  4. If you're just going to put the video onto DVD without editing it, DVD recorders are the way to go. It will be SO much more simple.

If you have the need to trim / edit the video then look into a PC.

    That's my opinion anyway.
