Hi there,
I have tried the following experiments:
- Capture with VirtualDub 640x480 using Huffy 2.1 codec (using AIW 128 Pro) at 29.97fps. Frame dropping around 2% on my 733PIII.
- Capture with MMC 7.5 seems to have 0 frame drop. Can this be true.
Is it possible that VirtualDub drops frames due the the wrapper used to capture via AIW.
A second observation:
MMC 7.5 crashes the system when capturing white noise inbetween clips from a home movie. If I am quick enough to stop capturing before end of clip the output seems to be very good.
VirtualDUP does not crash with noise but frames are dropped at hight rate during that interval.
I prefer to use MMC due to the lack of frame drops, but the crashing makes it very difficult to use.
Has anyone else experienced such a problem!!!
TIA
