Hi All,
I have a new puter.. ASUS P4PE, P4 2.4, 1GB DDR, 80GB WD.. and an ASUS V9280.
My question is around the video card and video capture. When I capture from my VCR into the card, I get a slight ghosting on the video. It is especially noticeable when there is text on the screen... and when there is alot of "white" in the shot also. It also will distort the image slightly in "bright" scenes.. e.g. if the is a vertical line, it will look kinda wonky.
Previously I had an ASUS v3800 Ultra and My video capture was rock solid and very clean. I saw none of these problems on the old card, and I was using the same cables, VCR etc.
My VCR only has "Yellow, Red, White" in/out connectors (unsure of the correct term) and I use the yellow out connector from the VCR to connect to the ASUS-Supplied break-out box.
I might be a bit anal about it.. but I have a problem with the vid capture on my new, expensive card not being as good as the old one! :P
Oh, also I pulled the case out from under the desk.. straightened out the video cables etc.. but it made no difference. Perhaps a high quality video cable might help? Gold plated etc? *sigh*
Has anyone else experienced this? Either on the same card, or another one? Any suggestions on how to overcome it? Or should I just get over it? :P
I look forward to your replies.
