  2. I tried the PAL image on my Pioneer DV-343 and I get the menu and can use it to go to the points in the movie (10 sec, 20 sec, 30 sec, 40 sec), the video plays ok, but I can't get the subs

  3. the pioneer doesn't support OGT subtitles... but it supports switching between two audio streams (actually only the PAL disc has 2 audio tracks)

  4. btw, I believed that my old DV-525 didn't support SVCD menus... this was wrong... at least the ones contained on the new svcd test discs are displayed perfectly....

Why didn't they built in support for subs, it would be the best player around

If you don't look for mp3 support.

  6. well... SVCDs aren't supported that well either.... GOTO and remaining/content playtime display doesn't work with SVCDs; only with VCDs...

..but apart from that, they are quite solid (S)VCD players...

    hvr,

VCDImager is great. I use VCDComposer with it. Have just got to the point (yesterday) where not having autoplay is bothering me. (VCDComposer has an "autoplay" field but I havenīt figured out what to write in it to compile the vxd correctly).

Have you guys made any progress on this?
