  1. Hi,

Sometimes when you playback a VCD in you DVD player, there are minor section of the movie that go pixelated and distorted. However, when you playback the VCD on the computer it is fine. Anyone know what is causing these pixelated areas. Other than that the VCD is superb quality. Encoded with TMPEnc and burn't with Nero.

Any help is much appreciated..... 8)

Does your DVD support SVCD??? If so try encoding to SVCD in TMPGenc as you can get a higher bitrate and therefore better quality on your final copy. Also try using the 2 Pass VBR setting instead of CBR as I've found that will improve quality sometimes, but it takes about twice the time.

  3. Personaly, I've found the the recording medium play's a large part in the quality. I've found that Fugi Film disc's display pixilations, large and small. Terrible for video projects. There may be more, but so far Fugi Film is the only medium that I've found to be consistantly terrible.
