There is a way to add subtitles to a mpg file, like I do with avi files (Virtual Dub frameserving + .ssa files)?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Well once you've got the MPEG file it's pretty hard to add subtitles, without re-encoding the MPEG. Sorry...

If I reencode it, I have to pass it first to AVI, or there is a way to do reencode to mpeg2 (for example) and add subs?
