  1. is there a way to tell if the file is PAL or NTSC before i burn it? instead of me wasting a cd almost everytime??

  2. If you open the file in vdub, or even Windows Media player and click on Properties, you will find the frame size and rate listed. If it's 29.97 it's NTSC, if it's 25 it's PAL. Also, the vertical resolution will give it away. 240 or 480 pixels in the vertical plane is NTSC, and 288 or 576 is PAL.
