I set the option to burn at x2 - but it insists on burning at x8 - I get errors on the movie at x8![]()

Most current high-speed burners can not burn a CD-R at less than 8x. If you're having problems burning at 8x then you should probably try using different media.

Have you tried the latest firmware for your drive? Which drive is it?
I had the same [problem on my Lite-On 3212s and a firmware update fixed it.
