this is very odd, i got an svcd of the net that wasnt quite working on my dvd player, the player is very fussy as to what program the svcd was burnt with, it wont play nero svcd's but it will play vcdeasy svcd's, so i grabbed the movie from the bad disc and used vcdeasy to reburn it, no problem, put the disc in the dvd player, picture great, sound great, i then fast forwarded the disc, pressed play and the sound kept cutting in & out, pressed stop, and then play again and the sound is perfect!!!, i tested this out by fast forwarding to clip and got the sound to cut out, i then rewound the disc pressed stop then play and played it until it got to the part where the sound cut out, this time it was perfect, i know this is impossile but its a bit like when i forward the disc and press play the sound doesnt seem to keep up, impossible i know but that the best way i can describe it, anybody have any ideas!!!!!!!

Sounds like the bitrate is too high for your player? I've had this happen, re-encoding the movie to a lower bitrate solved the problem. Returning the DVD player and getting an APEX also solved the problem for good :P
