Thanx to Kinneera I've been able to get my vcd overhead down to 7mb and svcd to 9mb and xsvcd to 22mb
My question is how come my captures / edits directly authored have 100mb overhead but when i re encode them with tmpgenc i get them to where they should be?????
I'm using DVCII, pci video and audio are compliant
(also when i used ati aiw128pro)
I use mpeg2vcr ver3.11 to edit
This is not my system as i have had this problem on 3 totally different computers

The only thing i found different between the capture / edit & the re encoded file was the header one was mpeg2 supervcd (VBR) and the other mpeg2 program stream
