  1. I was able to convert a live stream asf to mpeg using TMPG. This asf file had the scroll function when played because it was previously converted by someone else. However, i have another file (also a live stream) which didn't have the scroll function. In other words you have to play from start to finish, without the ability to pause or advance. When i tried to convert this file to mpeg using TMPG, the program said that this is a corrupted file (size is different from what is recorded) even thought i could play it just fine. I think it may have something to do with the scroll function. Can anyone advice me on this? Thanks.

  2. try this:

    - use asftools software to repair your asf file and save it.
    - open this asf in virtual dub 1.3c and SAVE WAV of this asf to a wav file

    - in tmpgenc browse ur repaired asf file as video, and your wav file as audio source.

    - do the conversion.

    that's what i do...
