I've created a couple of SVCDs encoded via TMPGEnc and burned with Nero 5.5.1.8. They played perfectly on my Apex 500w DVD player, with one exception: the reported elapsed time was off by more than a factor of two. In other words, to go to the 30 minute point on the disc, I had to select the 62 minute point.
Is this potentially a problem with my DVD player, or is Nero burning the incorrect time code to the CD? If the former, I only have a few days left to return the player to the store where I purchased it...
If this topic has been addressed before please point me toward the right discussion -- I couldn't locate it.
Thank you,
Kevin

Then which authoring programs write the time track correctly? I attempted to use VCDImager and burn the .bin file with Nero... but it won't play on my Apex 500W. Nero-authored files look incredible -- except for the time issue.
Thank you,
Kevin

first of all, don't use nero to burn vcdimager generated images... nero doesn't handle them the way they were supposed to be burned...

the "svcd vcd30 tracksvd" option has been introduced with vcdimager 0.7.10...
