Two Questions:
- Where did you find this card? I was looking all over for information and prices from places that would sell it. Couldn't find any.
- What method are you using to try to get the file into TMPGEnc?
I would suggest using DVD2AVI to make a d2v and a separate audio stream. Then, load these up into TMPGEnc (the d2v as the video and the demuxed audio as the audio file).

Here are some places to find this card.

I tried to bring the video file into as a MPEG2 file into dvd2avi but it ran the video and audio out of sink then gave me an error message. I didn't try a video only (elementary) file.
TMPGEnc doesn't have a problem with the audio part when it is recorded as a (elementary) file, but it will NOT take the video. I wish TMPGEnc would come out with better handleing and a "HOW TO" booklet. -

Did you follow this guide?

It sounds like the files get written in some kind of
funky format.
Can you play the files using a dvd-player like winDVD
or powerDVD or one of the free ones?
Have you tried opening the file with the "mpeg tools"
panel of tmpg? If that doesn;t work, you may want to try
bbmpeg/bbtools.
If tmpg is unable to read the file, it possible
that flask will be able to read it. If so you can
use flask to frameserve to tmpg like you were backing
up a dvd.

The file can be read by an older version of media player which the newer (6.4 & 7.0) can read it also windvd 2000 also can read it. I tried running it through dvd2avi but it runs out of audio before the video is done and errors. The file it reads is weird because I think it said the frame rate is 23.976 hz but it said format is NTSC? Now I think it worked sometime in the past, could I have removed some dll's when I revoved some software?

GF: I also own a DVR board. Have had it well over a year.
What operating system and version of drivers are you using ? The earlier Windows NT4 drivers produced some pretty weirdly formatted files, but the latest ones available from Sigma's site are working quite well. (including Win98 and Win2000 drivers)
If you suspect a problem with the dll's, then uninstall the DVR Station software and the capture drivers. And then reinstall the drivers and finally the Station software.
Some other installed software has given me fits in the past. Specifically software that used Ligos mpeg2 dll's. The mpeg splitter and decoder dll's would take precedence over the Sigma dll's.
I do have a problem with loss of audio/video sync on long recordings. On a very long movie (say two and a half hours) the audio will be out of sync at the end by at least half a second. Not sure if it's bad timing on the motherboard or whether it's the DVR board's fault. Anyway, I've learned to limit recordings to about 45 mins or 1 gigabyte or so. Later, I edit the parts back together to get a whole movie.
If any of the above still doesn't help, list out your encoding settings. Maybe I can spot something that is incorrect that tmpegenc might not like.
I am curious about why you need to reprocess the DVR encoded mpeg thru tmpegenc.
