  1. Hello! I burned a VCD with Nero using TAO instead of DAO. It is causing many problems on standalone player. I don't have the original MPEG files anymore. How can I use the VCD contents to make/burn a DAO copy?

Also, is there a utility to determine whether a CD is TAO or DAO?

    I'd appreciate any help! Thanks.

You can use Vcdgear to convert the dat file(it's in the mpegav folder) on your cd back to mpg. Re-burn that in DAO. Get Vcdgear in the tools section.

  3. Thank you very much for your reply!

Will there be loss of quality when converting from DAT back to MPG?

No there wont be any difference in quality, because it only rewrites the header and doesn't re-encode the file.
