  1. I recently started editing/authoring mpeg and avi files in Media Studio Pro 6.5 and I can find no way to include the good old "Show" title, "Clip" title or "Author" info that you typically see displayed when playing back through Windows Media Player or others. I also have Adobe Premiere 6.5, but have been doing my editing in MSP.

I have looked extensively online for any information on including this info before rendering within MSP, and I have even looked for a seperate application just for this purpose (thinking maybe that there is some simple app similar to editing the ID tags for mp3's), but I've found nothing.

Anyone who knows how to access and edit this info in MSP, your help would greatly be appreciated. I'm assuming that I should be able to edit the Show or Clip title clip by clip before rendering the output mpeg/avi file?

Or if there is a seperate app, that would be find also, esp. if no rendering were involved.

I'm not looking to put these files on VCD or DVD, just need for streaming media/web output.

Hoping someone out there has the answer to what should be a very simple function 'cause I'm spending way too much time on this...

    Thanks,

  2. Those only show if you author out to Windows Media formats (WMA, ASF). The Windows Media Encoder (free at www.microsoft.com/windowsmedia) can do these files as will as most good editors.

On the contrary, it can be done by cheating...

Create an ASX metafile with that info incorporated. I do it all the time!
As a matter of fact you can put the ASX in the root of the ISO portion of a (S)VCD and give as your mediafile reference the MPEG2/MPEGAV folder and files. Oh, and this can be AUTORUN also! Makes for nice total hybrid solution.

    HTH,

    Scott

*If questions, do a google search on "ASX" and "metafile" and you'll get the M$ reference site.
*This has been asked about before on other threads here. Also can check out (IIRC) http://www.pcphotovideo.com/burning1.htm.
