Hi!
I have downloaded a movie in SVCD, ie it's an MPEG-file. When I try to burn it as SVCD with WinOnCD 6 it says it has to encode the file. I don't understand that. I thought it's already SVCD?! Well, after encoding the quality is worse than the original file.
What am I doing wrong?
THX in advance!

Me again
WinOnCD says it has to convert into PAL. If I say no (leaving NTSC?) then I get the message "Invalid MPEG-file".
After the conversion to PAL the quality is bad: The black blocks at the bottom and the top are not entirely black, they change slightly from frame to frame.
Hope the additional information helps... -
export file to hard drive as avi2 then encode with tmpgeinc the svcd qualityfrom from their encoding sucks use tmpg 4 great results
