Hey guys,
I'v tryed almost everything and now I can think of nothing else wrong except that the Pioneer 343 DVD Player just dosn't play recordable media properly. Here is how I author my disks which don't work.
1. Ifoedit --> Author DVD (From Menu)
2. Select my movie file (m2v - Made from DVD tmpgenc template)
3. Select my 2 AC3 streams.
4. Create the image to my HD.
5. Open Nero 5.5.9.17
6. Start a DVD-Video complation
7. Drag the output VOBs and Ifo files in image directory to VIDEO_TS
8. Burn on lowest speed (Pioneer A05)
Now It seems like everything is fine, but when I play it on my Pioneer 343, it loads and starts playing. If you fast forward or let it play, it eventualy stops after 10-15 seconds or so. If you Fastforward, it will do so and pause after 10-15 of normal play. Restarting the movie all together does the same thing. I think at first if you start the movie without touching anything it plays to the end, but now after more testing I doubt that.
HOWEVER, if I play the same disk on my Sharp unit, everything works fine. All tests were done with diffrent versions of nero, IfoEdit / SpruceUp / Ect, DVD-R/W's, Burn speeds.
What I would like to know is if the DVDs I have mastered are at standard and the DVD Player is at fault, or if my DVDs are not mastered correctly and its just the Sharp DVD player is more capable of playing such disks.
I would appreciate any help, as I would hate to buy another DVD for no reason.
Thanks!

Possible problem found!? I'm not sure if this has something to do with it, but when I take my wav file decoded from DVD2AVI and do my editing, I used BeSweet to convert it back to AC3. On the Sharp it says track one is 0.1 Ch, and track 2 is 1 Ch. Is this maybe the source of the problem? Incorrect AC3 Tracks?
I doubt it since I don't think I could have done that much to mess up an AC3 conversion, but suppose it is, I wonder how to get audio onto a DVD since mpg audio seems to be rejected generaly without a AC3 Track?
Anyway, I will keep doing my homework on this, but if anyone of you experts can lend a helping hand on tracking the problem down, I would be very greatfull.
PS: In case your wondering, I use Pioneer media (Which came with the drive)
Thanks.
