  1. I cant figure out how to do a convert from the 23.97 fps film in tmpg. to a 29.97 fps dvd comp. mpeg2. I have no problem when its a pal movie but with the 23.97 fps. film i dont know how to do. I have use the 3:2 pulldown encoding mode but it somehow seems that maybe the film and the sound its different framerates or? What Im doing wrong?

  2. two options I can think of, both of which I have used succesfully.

    1) Encode at 23.97fps in TmpGenc, VIDEO ONLY. Then run pulldown.exe (available in the tools section) to add the required flags. Multiplex your audio in later or add it seperatley to your aDVD authoring proggy if it will accept them like this.

    2) in TmpGenc, set Emcode Mode (Settings, Video Tab) to 3:2 Pulldown when playback and Framerate to 23.976fps (internally 29.97fps). NOTE Set them in this order. In this case ensure you do NOT have the 3:2 pulldown option selected on the advanced tab.

    Hope this helps.
