Which is everyone prefered software and why?
I want to burn CD's, DVD-R's and (S)VCD's. For the VCD's all my files are either .asf, .mpeg-1 or .avi.
I like Nero cause it automatically encodes for you, but I've heard nothing but good things about Record Now Max. But whats your opinion? Thanks.

  2. I've used them all for a long time now, and I'm sticking with nero. It burns every kind of disk on earth and does it perfectly, so there is no reason to consider anything else I guess

  3. If you want the best quality then do not encode with nero. Nero was really best suited for burning only. I would look at tmpgnc for all encoding of video then burn it with nero.

  6. Nero if I can since I like it . RecordNow (not Max) that was bundeled with Sony burner only when I want to be sure that Nero is not the bad guy while testing. RecordNow was bundled with Sony so it should work with Sony.

  7. Nero is a kick ass application. Don't know why Sony didn't go with them. At the same time Veritas Record Now Max isn't a bad application at. But if I have to vote on it, Nero kicks ass.
