  1. Help!

I've recently started burning DVD+Rs from programs on my Dish PVR.

Anyway, everything works fine as long as I only want 1 program per DVD and I don't want to edit.

The problem is, I would know like to edit and combine multiple programs on a single DVD. Nothing fancy, just trimming out commercials etc.

The thing is, the video from the PVR is an odd bitrate and res. IFOEdit didn't complain, but won't handle tougher jobs. My DVD player doesn't seem to mind either.

Also, the Audio is in a seperate file from the Video. Some editors don't dig this. I would have to combine the files with TMPG to get them to work.

Most editors I have played with seem to want to re-encode everything. I really really really want to avoid this.

Any thoughts on a DVD creation program which will fit my needs.

    Thanks

you will probably find that a lot of "all in one" products will expect your source video to NOT be dvd compliant and will re-encode it for you anyway (DVD Workshop only just put in a setting to allow you to overide this though) and most authoring-only programs will expect DVD compliant streams......

What you could do is find a simple MPEG cutter (TMPGenc has one built in) to cut the commercials, then feed your video/audio to whatever works....have a look in the Tools section on this site or the software section on doom9.org.

What resolution is the video from your PVR ? if IFOedit accepts it, it may be compliant...here are some compliant resolutions. 720x576, 704x576, 352x576, 352x288 (these are PAL resolutions...for NTSC substitute 480 for 576 and 240 for 288).
