  1. I have tried this several time with differnet movies with always the same result everytime, what the hell am I doing wrong?

I re-encode the .m2v to a lower bitrate like this:

    • start mediapipe
    • "set destination" to folder where I want the output file saved
    • add pipe "file browser" and select the file I want to convert
    • add pipe "file streamer"
    • add pipe "MPEG decoder"
    • add pipe "color conversion"
    • add pipe "MPEG encoder" and use the configure button to set the attributes.
    • in attributes I click on the "generate arguments" button. set attributes to:
NTSC Video, 16:9, new bitrate of say 3800.
    • close out this window and start the conversion
    • and wait about 8 to 10 hours until it's done.
    • then I import the new m2v file and audio file into DVDSP.

Now here is where the problem starts, the video seems to run faster then it should be, so the Sync starts out fairly close but as the movie progresses the sync get farther and farther out, untill the end where the video part of the movie is over but the audio is only 3/4 of the way through.

    Please help

  3. A few questions.

    1. What software package are you using to re-encode?
    2. What is the original source of your audio and video? Tivo, PC Capture, etc..
    3. What bit rate is your audio?

I use TMPGENC and I re-encode the audio right along with the video. When I do this, I rarely if ever have had sync issues.

    Good Luck,

  4. i also use TMPGENC but i only do video only i don't mess with the audio all i do is rip it from the dvd. it saves a little time i would say close to a hour if you encode just the video.

yeh there is a slight problem with your answer buddy, this is a MAC forum... tmpegenc is a PC program. check a little bit better next time you post to a thread
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind. Withering my intuition leaving all these opportunities behind.

  6. Damb, I know that TMPGENC was a PC app I have used it before, but for a sec there I thought that TMPGENC had been released for the Mac, I guess not

So any idea out there? Next to transfering the whole thing to my PC which is not the answer I am looking for.
