I've recently upgraded TMPGPlus after skipping several updates and see a few changes have been added. Specifically in the Wizard there is now the choice for NTSC with Linear PCM Audio (as opposed to MPEG 1 Layer II audio). My DVD player could not handle the audio that resulted from TMPG encoding when I used tooLame or TMPG encoder in the older version I was using. I had to demux my captured audio, encode the video and then remux the result. Here's my question (where I show my audio ignorance!): If I use this PCM audio, does this result in 100% compliant DVD audio that any player can handle? This sure would save a lot of time/effort over my previous workflow. Thanks!

Yes
DVD Compliancy:
NTSC-At least 1 PCM or AC-3 track, rest is optional/additional
PAL-At least 1 PCM or AC-3 or MPEG1L2 track, rest is optional/additional

Yes but don't forget PCM is uncompressed and takes up LOADS of space on your disc, leaving a lot less room for you video. This means either a lower average bitrate (and hence lower quality) or shorter movie.
But maybe you already knew this
