i have a simple, yet complicated request. i'm intersted in backing up some dvd's, and looking for that perfect group of settings in TMPEG. i've found a lot of blockiness and noise in my own trials, and am getting frustrated. i rip using dvdtoavi, and would be willing to go either the vcd or svcd route in TMPEG. i use an apex ad600 player to play these backups, and i don't mind using 2 cd-r's (of course 1 would be amazing). my major concern, again, is picture quality. another issue i have come across (and tried to solve) are horizontal lines in some of my svcd's during playback. i think this is a interlacing problem, but not really sure of the cure. thanks in advance to all.
