    i'm downloading a DVD rip of Episode 2 in Xvid im using datview and virtual dub to preview while i download them. I can't hear any audio. why, how do I find out the audio compression. the vids wont play in WMP so i cant use the video properties menu.

    Use GSpot to find out which codecs were used to encode your XviD. Also, to play your incomplete AVIs in WMP you need to rebuild the index using DivFix (copy your AVI first to your desktop).
