  1. in the last couple of weeks i have attempted to burn a couple vcds and music cds on both nero and easy cd creator (5.x). in each program, the burn process stalls at the very end and never finishes burning.

i think it is possible i may be trying to squeeze too much onto the disc. i am using 80 min tdk blanks. i recently tried to burn a 78:52 music cd but was not able to. each time i tried, and in each program i tried, the write process stalled when it is finalizing the cd.

does anyone have any ideas? i am using a win 98 computer, a sony 4x cd writer, and i believe the latest versions of nero and easy cd creator.

    thanks,

There are known compatibility issues when having both nero and easy cd creator on the same system. I suggest you choose which one you want and uninstall the other, or if you are primarily trying to burn VCD's you may want to just go ahead and install VCDEasy (you may have to install the ForceASPI drivers to get it going.)

  4. sony 4x cd writer...
You've got a pretty old burner. The most likely reason is that your burner doesn't support burning up to 80min...
