VCD/SVCD format on DVD+/-R

Have many of you put VCD or SVCD format on DVD?

I've read that you can do it - do you just create the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS using your VCD authoring prog, and burn those directories to the DVD?

Will most DVD players play it back?

if you are going to do that you should get a program called My Dvd. i bet if you look hard enough you will be able to find it free of charge. all you do is load your mpegs and it will do the rest and so far all of the ones i have made has worked great on my stand alone dvd player. you can even make a menu if you want if you are going to put more than one movie onto the disk.

hi! how long would it take for a 1.6 GB mpeg-2 file to be changed to DVD format off that mydvd appz? please responds
