  1. I want to compile a VCD/XVCD with a menu that works!!!

I attempted to create one using the menu thingy that comes with Nero but when I tried running it on my VCD player it didn't work

    symptoms
-the one and only movie clip that worked was one of the mpeg2 files, and it was horrible (the sound and movie clip was choppy)
-the preview thumbnail was black for the mpeg2 movie file

    possible sources of error:
-I had both mpeg1 and mpeg2 video clips on the vcd
-I took off Standard compliant cd before burning the cd
-I got an error message from Nero "could not perform end of disk at once. Burn process failed."

    other
-I converted the mpeg2 movie clips to mpeg 1 video cd using TMPEG

    Any tips/ideas/solution would be appreciated

  2. I can't get a Nero menu to work as a VCD. I have the thumbnails working just fine and the menus look good, but the links don't work. If I burn them to SVCD the menus work fine. I'm stumped.

  3. I've heard reports that Nero's menu authoring is buggy. Have you considered using a VCDImager based authoring program such as VCDEasy or TSCV?

I have been reading this all over the place and no one has answered it yet. When using the thumbnail menu in nero, it will not play the menu at all in the beginning. If you manage to start a movie, at the end of the last movie you MAY or may not see the menu.

With all the experts around this forum I wonder why no one has solved this problem....

    Thanks

  6. Because Nero is a proprietary program and it is up to the Nero development team to fix it!!

Try VCDImager with one of its GUIs like VCDEasy.
