Nero won't recognize any of my Memorex CD-RW discs. I'm able to write to them using NTI backup deluxe, so I know it's not my CD-RW drive. Is it possible that Nero won't work with Memorex CD-RWs (700-MB, 80-minute) discs even though my burner will?

  2. I dont think its your drive. I dont thinks its nero. I think it's memorex's fault. I was just doing a search on that today. I went to http://www.dejanews.com and plugged "memorex plextor" into the search and got a million hits. It seems they give all kinds of drives a hard time. Later i went plextors website and they dont even list memorex media on their compatability chart!!

FYI - i can use memorex 4x RW's green cover slim case no problem

-i can NOT use memorex "high speed" 8x 10x RW's i cant even erase or format a disk never mind wrting to it. I'm gonna have to give my 5 pack away to a friend IF it works in his drive!!

What memorex media are u refering to and with what drive?

Anyone else here have any similar problems with memorex?

  4. Memorex is the WORST brand of CD-R and RW media you can get. It is so incompatible with so many different players, burners its not even funny. Whatever you do, don't get Memorex media.

  5. i use memorex dvd- r and sell them. over 150 sold with no errors! not one! so lets differentiate cd-r and dvd-r i use the cd-r here lately for vcd and svcd and with nero and ive had no errors or problems they play fine for me and my friends. i bought a five pack of cd-rw memorex and i still use them often. theyve been recorded over 20 x! one of them will no longer erase is the only thing that happened. had them a year
so i dont want an argument just letting you know they work for me and i almost always use nero. ive always found the brand dependable.

  6. Memorex is the only brand I use for cd-r burning. I have bought Memorex for the last 2 years, they work perfect with my TDK 24/10/40x. Now dvd-r on the other are shitty I think, because I still cant get a good copy to play in my player.

Apparently it's the media. I tried 3 CD-RWs dics, out of a pack of 5. I've been able to write to one. The other two appear to be back. I don't think I'll every buy Memorex again. At least CD-RWs or CD-Rs.

  8. Yeah. Memores is to blame. Over the last few years, I must have bought over 20 different brands of CDR's. Once, I was really in need of some, and I happenned to be at a place that sold them (they're also way more expensive than other "cheap" ones). They are the ONLY CDR's I EVER hda problems wtih. I was wondering a bit what really was the problem, but I noticed they were peeling away... Complete crap. Anything but memorex.

  9. I just got a box of 4x cdrw Memorex friday, and I tried to format them on my Plextor 10 12 32 drive with Nero and EZCD creator. Error codes on both. I am now going to return them.
