    I seem unable to capture directly with VideoStudio 6 to whatever format.
    Configuration:
    Analog VHS videorecorder -> scart out adapter -> composite video input G450.
    I can capture with matrox video tools to MPEG2 and then read this file into Video Studio.
    However when I try to capture from within video studio I get a distorted and dithered picture.
    When I uncheck "Force preview mode" the picture is fine but of course the result stays the same.
    I tried all possible settings without avail.
    Has it something to do with the Matrox VidCap codec?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Are you able to change capture plug ins?

    Yes I can.
    Ulead VFW Capture Plug-in
    Ulead DirectShow Capture Plug-in
    Ulead VFW MPEG Capture Plug-in
    Ulead DSW MPEG Capture Plug-in
    I tried all four without succes.
