I would like to know wich stand alone vcd recorder unit is the best out there, is it the terapin or one of the vdr types or so, don't start discussing here with me about that the quality is inferior to pc captured movies etc etc, bla bla, i know all that, the thing you need to know is that i'm not such a quality freak, i have done over 300 movies with the dazzle dvc usb and so far i have been always satisfied over the quality, but i want to enjoy the convenience of a standalone unit rather than doing it all on the pc.
basicly, what i would like to know is does anybody got the terapin unit and what kind of quality produces it and are the units that can also capture in svcd better then the terapin or not?
Thanks all!
TC

The Terapin is good, very good. I can get good dvd copies that look pretty good on my 43" HDTV widescreen. I like it. TV recording is ok...get some audio sync errors probably due to tv broadcast.
