    Hello all,

I have tryed to make VideoCD in PAL colorformat, but I can't it becomes allways NTSC, can somebody help me with this ???

Here is preconditions in this case:
    - MPG files are made with TMPGEnc and VideoCD(PAL) template.
    - Burning is made with Nero 5.5.3.5 and PAL is selected format.
    - Now I play VCD in my DVD player (Pioneer DV-414) and output format is NTSC.

Pioneer DV-414 is US player and it is modified to play R2 (PAL) DVDs. So every time I put it on output is NTSC and when PAL DVD is played it changes output format in PAL automatically. In player it's not possible to set output colorformat manualy.

Now I wondered should VCD include somekind off color mode switching file when player recognize VCD disc ?

Or what I do wrong in here, please help.

TV channel is correct cos DVDs, PAL or NTSC, works more than fine.
So, no help in this case.

Here is information for my videocd disc given by PowerDVD:

    Display Information :

    FourCC Code : YUY2
    Surface Type : Overlay

    Video Attribute :
    Video compression mode : MPEG-1
    Source picture resolution : 352x288 (625/50)
    Frame Rate : 25.00
    Bitrate : 1.15Mbps

    Audio Attribute :
    Audio Coding mode : MPEG-1

  6. It seems to me that it's your hardware.
The spec you posted is a valid pal VCD.

You can download the VCD-PAL Sample And test it on your hardware. Then you know.
