  1. what is best cd media for burning videos onto (s)vcd's? also does anyone know best media for burned ps2 games as well?

  2. After much research in this area, I concluded that it really doesn't matter


    I prefer Fuji CDRs (or any of most other CDR brands made in Japan) because the pigment used in these discs seems to be more resistent to sunlight and fails less often while burning. Just my opinion tho.

    Depends what you are using to burn the CD-Rs.
    I have heard from reliable friends that you will get bad blocky pixelation on a standlone dedicated DVD recorder or VCD recorder unless you use high-quality certified error-free media. The same folks say the problem goes away when they buy name-brand high-quality expensive CD-Rs.
    If you're burning video on CD-Rs on a DVD burner or CD burner, however, in my experience it doesn't matter doodly what kind of media you use. CD burners and comptuer DVD burners seem to be a lot better at handling marginal or off-brand media than dedicated standalone DVD recorders.
