Being very new to this I need all the help humanly possible. I am familiar with converting .avi files, etc., but have no experience with capture.
What I would like to know is the best method for capturing SVHS and then burning to DVD. I want the highest quality I can get, as this is for home movies to be distributed among family members.
I have a Canopus ADVC-100, Firewire card, Sony DRU500A, Win XP Pro, 512MB Ram, XP1600 CPU, and a 40GB HDD.
If there are any recommendations for anything like more ram or larger HDD such as 120GB, this is not a problem as I will buy them.
I have looked through this site but am still having problems getting everything working well. As I said, real novice here.
Any and all help appreciated with this.![]()
