I am copying VHS tapes to DVD. Using VirtualDub to capture 29.97 fps and 44K audio. I then use TMPG to convert to DVD standards and 48K audio. Finally, I burn with Ulead Workshop.

The video quality is excellent, but the DVD stops, like on pause, frequently during play. I have to hold down the play button for it to finally move to the next frame.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks for the help.

  2. Does it play fine on the PC?? If so it could be the media. Your DVD player may not be able to read it well.. Try a different brand.

First off you should either cap at 48 or use a better program to upsample to 48.

As for the pauses you should try a different brand of media dn possibly a diffrent method of burning if at all possible.
