Hey can any of u help me PLEASE ! ! ! ! ! !
i know alot of u know alot about pc's like u know
about vcd's
I have 2 hard drives there 5gb,1gb but i only want to add a windows 98 in it. i know its not alot but its my old realy old pc i want to fix it
i cant find any startup disk that works and i downloaded
alot of boot disk dont know if it is the same as startup disk
but thay still did not work.

(i do have 2 startup disk win 98,me but thay did not work)
I have formated before.
but do any of u guys know of a good site that can help me
O and a othere thing do any of u guys know of a good program
that can lit me put windows to a 2ed hard drive
so that i can put the 2ed herd drive back in to the old pc.

Can you boot to the other HD??? If so, as long as you have the full install Windows cd and not the upgrade, you can install it to the other drive drom within windows. If not, you will need to go into your bios and set the cdrom as first boot device. From that when you install windows you can select which drive to install to.

put the drive you want to install windows to in your other PC, Install windows to it. (Whent the install gets to the point that it has copied files and needs to reboot. turn the pc off and put it back into the other pc. It should then continue installing and recognize the correct hardware.

you put the one you want to put windows on in the PC that you are using as a SECOND drive. Boot to windows and format the SECOND drive. Put the windows cd in and click setup, it will ask you where you want to install windows, point it to the SECOND drive. After it gets through copying files take the SECOND drive out and put it back int he other PC. When you boot the other PC it will continue installing windows (Cause all the install files were copied over).

Boot to windows normally. The drive you want to put windows on can be the Slave drive . You don't have to take your good one out.You will just be installing windows to the slave drive instaed of the primary.

it did not ask me were do i want to install it
it just told me its going to take 20 to 30m to install

o and about the format thing i did not know
how to do that cuz i did not use a startup disk -
i think it told me
1 start windows set up
2 start with cd-rom
3 start with no cd-rom
it was something like that i picked 1 did i do right
and can u tell me step buy step on how to do this -
ok...Thats the Cdrom boot options. In order to install like that you need to take you other HD out and just leave the one. It will work that way fine though. After it installs put it back in the other PC.
