I recently aquired the new Sony DRU500 DVD recorder and so far I've been please with the exception of one problem. When I create a DVD that has both digital stills as well as digital video, some of the stills seem to flicker when I view them on my Sony Wega. The video displays fine and so do some of the stills, just not all of them. I used Ulead Video Studio version 6 to encode and burn. Then I tried burning a disk image I created with Ulead via Nero and had the same results. The only thing I haven't tried is encoding with TmpGenc. I guess I'm not sure if it is the encoding, the burning, or the media. Right now I'm using the Sony +RW that came with the burner
