  1. What is that little green light on the back of your PC that lights up even once the PC has been shut down. I know that its suppose to be on, but what purpose does it serve?

Your power source is available should you need to turn your computer on. So if you cannot turn your PC on, and the light is out, you do not have a good power source.

  4. No, I'm not on a network. Its my computer that I have at home. Also, I have another stupid question: Will that green light ever go out like a lightbulb does? And if so, how long will it be until it goes out?

I guess he did not read my post. That is power to your PC. The next time you power down, unplug your CPU and watch it go out.

  6. Oh, o.k so what you're saying is that its only there to show that power is going into your PC?

Its not a homing beacon from the aliens on the dark side of the moon? I had noticed that it was not always on but I figured it was when they were getting a weak radio signal. Now that I think about it though, the computer was off then too! Always learning something new. Now I wonder what they are using for the homing beacon?

It is a LED (Light Emitting Diode), and they last a long time.

    I would guess 50-100years?

50-100 years??!! Great, then I have no reason now to unplug the power cord every night. If its 50-100 years, it'll last a while won't it :P

Do you have DSL or cable?
I've NEVER seen a computer power supply with an LED.

But what I'd like to know is why does my computer do illegal things sometimes? Should I turn it in?
