Every time I am done watching a movie on my DVD player and I press rewind, it takes FOREVER. My VHS rewinds a lot faster!

Why do you hate the DVD and why on earth are you rewinding or do you mean fast scan backwards on DVD player?

What is wrong with scene selection on the menu and chapter search? It is easier to find a scene than the VHS tape. The DVD search or scan is a lot much better. It is much faster and better, it doesn't wear, tear and get dirty like the magnetic tape contacting with the heads.

I have no problem with the DVD player, not like the VHS with costly repairs and maintenance. Not much fun having the video tape being jammed in the machine with dirty heads.

The picture resolution on VHS is so poor compared with the DVD player. I am considering getting rid of the VHS movies for good in the near future.

    Innershield,

Good one.... You got at least two people with that one.

But really, I can provide you a link for a DVD/CD/CDR/CDRW/Gamecube/PS1/PS2/VCD/SVCD/Dreamcast rewinder if you would like to save the drive mechanism on your DVD player and other equipment....
    Have a good one,

    neomaine
