  1. I ripped a DVD using SmartRipper, then FlaskMPEG on the vobs frameserving through Video Server to TMPGenc. It was a standard 1-pass 1150 CBR encode.

The MPG appeared fine when I tested it standalone. I then used VCDEasy to create a bin file. I tested that using the DVD drive simulation tools (forget the name, it's on the Tools page) and PowerDVD. Again, all appeared fine.

I burn that file to CD, and try to play it on my Apex AD-1500 or Apex AD-1100W, and the audio is out of sync, sometimes by half a second or so. It also appeared to skip back in sync on some VCD's.

I tried this with multiple different ones, even a VCD-compliant MPG pulled from KaZaA, since I was wondering if it was my encoding, even though it did not seem so because of the PC testing I had done.

I searched for multiple things in the forums, but have not found anything. I do apologize if I missed something describing this situation, but most appear to be problems with field order or other problems. Can that be my problem?

Any suggestions of what to look at to figure this out?

    Thanks all!

I don't see the power of your machine, somewhere along the line something went wrong. Perhaps a new approach would help ?

    Smart Ripper to rip DVD
DvdX to convert VOB's to Mpeg 1
